Michael Dris – Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Dris has been involved in the PEO industry as an owner, attorney and consultant for over twenty years. He was first introduced to the PEO industry as an attorney, and later started his own PEO. He holds an accounting degree from the University of South Florida and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. He worked in public accounting with Peat Marwick and Mitchell (n/k/a KPMG) before obtaining his law degree, with honors, from the University of Florida. After working for the Chicago-based law firm of Rudnick and Wolfe for several years, he started his own law firm and later, his first PEO. As CEO, Mr. Dris’s role is to oversee all aspects of the Company and set the overall strategy going forward. He is also significantly involved in an operating role directing the core operations of the Company.
Justin Mays – Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Mays joined the Company at the time the Company purchased the assets of Administrative Concepts Corporation (ACC). He served as CFO of ACC for three years from 2007 to 2009, and was responsible for all accounting and finance functions of the company. In 2010, he was promoted to CEO and was directly responsible for growing ACC from $225 million in revenue to over $315 million, while also reducing operating expenses by over $2 million annually. Prior to his time at ACC, Mr. Mays spent six years in public accounting focusing on the auditing of PEO clients. He initially joined WorkLife America as VP of Finance in January 2012 and was promoted to CFO in April 2013. He is responsible for all finance and accounting functions of the Company, as well as financial analysis, tax reporting and strategy.
Terry Roberts – Director of Sales
Mr. Roberts began with Progressive Staffing, a predecessor to the Company, in 1998 with responsibility of building the sales arm of this newly formed PEO. In 2001, after the sale of the assets of Progressive Staffing to its current owners, Mr. Roberts continued with the Company as a Senior Business Consultant. In this role, Mr. Roberts was awarded business consultant of the year multiple times, assisted with training and developing of new business consultants and provided field training assistance to increase the production of internal and external salespeople. At the end of 2011, he was promoted to the position of Director of Sales for all Direct Sales in the State of Florida. In this capacity, Mr. Roberts is responsible for directing the efforts of 2 regional sales managers, 25 salespersons and a 4-person marketing department.
Joseph “Joe” Ott – Vice President of Risk Management
Mr. Ott joined the Company in 2000 as a safety specialist. In 2004, he assumed the role of Risk Manager and in 2005 was promoted to Vice President of Risk Management. In this position, he is responsible for administering all aspects of corporate insurance programs including claims management, underwriting, loss control, operations and insurance compliance. Before joining the Company, he worked for Staff Leasing, the nation’s largest PEO at the time, in their Risk Management Department. He has a degree in Occupational Safety and Health and holds the ARM, CRM and AIS designations.
Jesse Albritton – Director of IT
Mr. Albritton joined the Company in 2006 as a Systems Analyst. In November of 2009, he became the Director of IT. Since then he has been responsible for effectively and efficiently aligning the Company’s technical capabilities with its operational needs. Mr. Albritton has also played a critical role in converting many of the companies acquired by WorkLife onto the current platform. Prior to joining the Company, he attended the University of South Florida where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors Degree of Management Information Systems.
Kathleen “Kat” Bush – Operations Manager
Ms. Bush joined Progressive Employer in 2002 as a Payroll Manager. She has also served as Director of Customer Solutions and is currently the Operations Manager in the Sarasota office. Kat brings over 18 years of operations experience in the PEO industry. As the Operations Manager, Ms. Bush is responsible for the daily operations of the Company’s payroll benefits, assuring that clients are getting the best possible service in the industry. She provides leadership and direction to multiple departments including: benefits, payroll and support services. Ms. Bush is a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) from the American Payroll Association and earned her Associate of Arts in Business from the University of Phoenix in 2010.
